Glencoe is well-known for its mountain summits, Bidean nam Bian and the mighty Aonach Eagach Ridge, but there’s more to the Glen than those dramatic skylines you’ve often heard of. Our trail network is vast and suitable for all abilities with further possibilities stretching into Lochaber. This trail running camp is for anyone and everyone, beginner to elite. To enjoy the great Scottish outdoors with like-minded others, whilst learning a little about the landscapes and natural beauty alongside the strength and conditioning required for longer trail runs within it. It’s also for those who need a restorative break within an award-winning estate full of nature that nurtures the soul.

Learn & explore with local mountain athlete, Brian.

Enjoy exclusive use of the Woodlands Glencoe estate. You will run from our door, out into the mountains and from this magnificent base take part in strength and mobility sessions, as well as participate in open group discussions about route choice, navigation and nutrition. There will be speciality coffee available, delicious baked snacks and each evening, a feast of home-cooked food shared with some wine and lots of smiles and conversation. The best way to reflect back on an adventurous day on the trails.

  • From enjoying the vastness of the Glen to discovering the trails that run through it, such as the West Highland Way, together we’ll run on some of the world’s most stunning trail running terrain.

You’ll drink the freshest water there is, flowing down from the towering mountain peaks above. Challenge your body in ways you never knew you could and feel the immensness of Scotland’s natural gem, Glencoe. Where volcanoes erupted and made way for glaciers to leave their mark.

  • Munros are mountains in Scotland higher than 3000ft. With 282 to choose from and a total of 14 within the Glencoe and Glen Etive boundary, there’s plenty to explore during our trail running camp.

  • The routes you will join can’t all be found in the guidebooks and the guide you have is unlike any other.

This trail running camp is curated and led by local mountain runner, Brian. His own running adventures explore Glencoe every single day. Having raced the Glencoe Skyline several times as well as all the skyline events from Kinlochleven, as well as acoss the UK. Brian has won the likes of Helvellyn Sky Ultra in the Lake District and placed on the podium at many other UK mountain running events.

His family ties to Woodlands Glencoe means he can offer a truly unique experience. An all encompassing event with sharing his beautiful part of the world with you at it’s heart. This trail running camp will have a very warm vibe. It will be relaxed and largely centred around mindset, wellness and the strong mental benefits that trail running provides.

  • From group lunches at some amazing places close by to thoughtful, homely food prepared by our family and served to the group in our relaxed, social setting.

Brian has travelled the world to photograph skyraces. He has hung from rocks on ridges at 3000m to capture athlete’s and in doing so has sold his images to some of the world’s biggest outdoor brands. From Arc’teryx, Black Diamond to Kiprun and Decathlon.

Brian has a deep understanding of the sports content creation world and is globally recognised as one of the best at capturing mountain running on camera.
